Lockdown 2.0 Haymarket Procedures
Published 3rd November 2020

In line with the Governments guidelines of a new national lockdown commencing Thursday 5th November, we have put a number of new measures in place to ensure we are compliant with Government rules.

Here at Haymarket, the safety of residents and staff members are our number one priority. Therefore we are implementing strict safety measures throughout all communal areas to ensure the safety of everyone.

Lockdown 2.0 Haymarket Procedures:

1. The Closure of all Communal Areas

During this time, the communal areas of the buildings will be CLOSED.

This includes gyms, cinema rooms, communal kitchens and terrace areas. Our security team has the right to ask people to leave and anyone found using these rooms will be reported to the local authorities.

2. Keeping Our Buildings Safe

Please also adhere to the following additional advice from Haymarket Block Management to help prevent the spread of the virus.

  • We request residents notify Tenancy Care in the event of a positive Covid test to allow block management to put additional control measures in place.

  • While there is no statutory requirement for residents to wear face coverings within the building, we encourage the use of face masks within lifts, foyers and other common areas. Maintaining a social distance of 2 meters is highly encouraged in any shared areas.

  •  When using lifts please consider the need to reduce maximum occupancy levels to 2 people per lift standing facing away from each other. Practicing safe lift etiquette and social distancing in the lifts is important. If possible, avoid using the lifts with other people to mitigate the risk.

  • Any unlawful gatherings i.e.house parties will be reported to the local authorities. We also have the right to contact guarantors to advise them of the breach of the restricitons in place. Please adhere to the new restrictions which are very simple,  you must not meet socially indoors with family or friends unless they are part of your household.

3. Sanitisation and Cleaning

Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, we have increased sanitisation and cleaning frequency of high touch surfaces i.e. lift buttons, door access points, door handles and handrails. This will continue throughout the second lockdown.

All contractors in our buildings will be advised to use PPE when attending site and will be refused access without any.
